2) What data we process and why

Technical browsing data (server logs): IP address, date/time, requested URL, user-agent, referrer. Purpose: site security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email communications: when you write to us, we process your email address and message. Purpose: respond to your request. Legal basis: performance of a contract/steps at your request or legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f)).

Language preference (GTranslate): a cookie may store the language you select. Purpose: remember your choice. Legal basis: legitimate interests/strictly necessary preference (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Embedded/linked third-party content: when you interact with SSRN, video or social platforms, those providers may collect data under their own policies. Purpose: share research content. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral profiling. This site uses Koko Analytics for visitor and page-view statistics. It is configured in cookieless mode, with geolocation, device tracking and UTM tracking disabled. Statistics are stored in the website database and the current automatic retention setting is 120 months. These settings were checked on 14 October 2026. If we introduce a newsletter or change these services, we will update this notice and the relevant consent information.

3) Cookies

Strictly necessary/technical cookies: needed for the site to function (e.g., WordPress session, security).

Preference cookies: store your chosen interface language (GTranslate).

Third-party cookies: only when you interact with external embeds/links; they are managed by those third parties.

You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings; some features may be limited.

4) Recipients and processors

We may share data with trusted processors under data-processing agreements, such as hosting/maintenance and essential WordPress plugins, and with external services you choose to use (e.g., SSRN, video/social platforms). If any provider is located outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

5) Retention periods

Server logs: up to 6 months (longer if needed for security incidents).

Email correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request, and up to 24 months unless legal obligations require longer.

Cookies: according to their technical duration (e.g., language preference until changed or cleared).

6) Your rights (GDPR)

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent (if applicable) by writing to info@generative-radial-geometry.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (in Italy: Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

7) Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect data (HTTPS, security updates, access controls, backups). No method is 100% secure, but we aim to maintain an appropriate level of protection.

8) Minors

This website is not intended for children under 14. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, please contact us to request deletion.

Links and embeds may lead to third-party websites/services with their own privacy policies. Please review them when you leave our site.
